Mixing a song is an art in itself. If you want to go deeper in the mixing techniques and ongoing ideas, you’ve found a home right here. A place where ideas are flowing and shared. A place where you take action for your freshly recorded song.
♦ MAKE BETTER MIXES. BECOME A BETTER MIXER!
As a producer/recording/mixing engineer working in the highly effervescent and creative Montreal music scene, I have a deep feeling that I can help you create your greatest mix.
♦ THE 2 STEPS APPROACH TO GET A GREAT MIX.
The recording is done. Now, you are mixing your song, all by yourself, but there is still something missing to the main vocal track. It is not as exciting as it should be. The drums: feeling like you’re half way to a fat and warm sounding track, but can’t go further? Maybe you are struggling with the bottom end of your mix (ah…that famous kick and bass tracks fighting with each other!). These are just few examples that may prevent you to get that “expensive” sound you’re looking for.
Maybe the mastering engineer will finally make it happen? Oops…big deception’s coming. Why? It’s not the job of the mastering engineer. A master can just be as good as the mix is. Give a great mix to the mastering engineer and you’ll get a great master (assuming you have a good m.e for the job!).
So... here is my 2 simple steps approach
Step 1: You learn from a pro while mixing your song.
Right now, it seems like you can’t go further with the song you are mixing? Send me a bounce over here and I’ll guide you toward the best mix you can achieve. More, in the process you’ll learn a lot about compression, eq, balance, panning, effects and many other things that you’ll use on your next mixes. Simply put, the best way to learn!
Step 2: My special treatment to bring your mix to the next level.
Ok, now you are happy with your mix. Cool! But there is more. Take advantage of many years of experience and have your mix going through my final processing. Analog warmth, “glue” factor and better clarity guaranteed.
Hear the result for yourself!
Stem A: Before the 2 steps
Stem B: The final result…..ready for the mastering!
Your song deserves the best mix you can make!
